- Can a British man wear coloured shoes? It’s a question that has been exercising me of late, since I booked my summer holiday in Italy and decided that it was time to smarten up my act.
It’s out with the long surf shorts and logo-ed T-shirts and in with Riviera chic — Cary Grant, here we come. At least, that’s the theory. And without going the whole blazer-and-chinos hog, I am determined to cut a dash as a stylish Brit abroad and not let the side down by looking like a scruff.
